2005 San Fermin celebration in Shanghai
The 9th of July, 2005, the first ever Chinese San Fermin party was celebrated in Shanghai, in the Gran Bodega Restaurant. The assistance to the event was overwhelming as the Spanish community in Shanghai (due to the assistance given to us by the Spanish General Consulate in Shnaghai) came out in full, dressed in white and gathered together for the occasion.
All people attending the venue could feel back in Spain again for a few hours. They enjoyed eating “chistorra” and drinking wine whilst listening to the latest summer music hits, or singing traditional songs of San Fermin.
The venue definitely presented a hundred percent San Fermin ambience, banners and posters decorated walls, videos with images of San Fermin and the running of the bulls were projected, and the “peña” members proudly wore the t-shirts that Kukuxumusu had specially designed for them.
